If you have a H-pattern shifter (or something like an actual automatic shift knob), the script has an option to map Park/Reverse/(Neutral)/Drive to specific shifter positions.

Grab the new build, you should see a new submenu for horizon locking within the camera options.

Do note the option applies per vehicle, so if you made a custom config for a specific vehicle it does not carry over to other vehicles. Or if you edit the base config, it will not carry over to vehicles which have their own (camera) settings defined already.
Been using it a while and it's infinitely more aesthetic than whatever I could think up :P

It'll probably be released in 5.5.1, but there's no telling when that will be released. Struggling with maximizing compatibility/stability (for development, normal gameplay unaffected).

Did some testing. Indeed, the car engine now starts when pressing throttle. It's caused by game version v1.0.2545.0 and newer.
As of release 5.5.0, no workaround exists yet.
Consider downgrading to v1.0.2372.2 or older.
Any steering wheel (and peripheral, like shifters and pedals) should be supported, as long as it identifies itself as a game input or steering wheel. The wheel not appearing could be Steam grabbing it. Check the description for some workarounds.
The "WheelSetup.exe" tool should also recognize and display your wheel. If it's in there but doesn't show up in-game, that's probably Steam.
Also, logs would be useful to see what kind of issue it is.

There are two "layers" of ABS:
- From the game itself
- From the script
The script can't disable the ABS from the game itself. If the car has ABS, it'll stay on. The ABS from the script works for cars without ABS, or when forcefully activated in the ABS option to work alongside the stock ABS (but reduces braking performance).
Also, no idea about the gas pedal issue. I'll need to look into it. Could be that GTA recently started behaving differently as when I last tested/implemented the feature, or it's just some setting (disable clutch+throttle start)

Thanks! Glad it worked out somehow, but I don't think the mod notifies "Wheel disconnected" anywhere (aside from inside the configuration menus as device name/subtitle).
There's no such thing for controllers.
