This is a quick .NET port of the original Auto Blinkers RPH Plugin by darkmyre . All credits to him, I've only coded the same concept for ScriptHook.Net users who don't use RPH.
I've included two separate editions, experimenting on the auto-blinkers concept:
The Steering Edition handles your blinkers based on the steer angle, it only works at low speeds and roads. The Camera Edition lets you turn the blinkers on by left-clicking while pointing in the direction you want to go.
Features
Installation
This script comes in two versions:
If you want the Steering edition, copy "AutoBlinkersNET Steering Edition.dll" in the scripts folder. If you want the Camera edition, copy "AutoBlinkersNET Camera Edition.dll" in the scripts folder.
Do not use both at the same time.
How to use
Steering Edition: Just drive normally. You'll notice that your blinkers work when you steer at slow speed.
Camera Edition: Anytime you need the blinkers to work, click (Left Click) in the direction you want to go. You'll see that the correct blinkers start .. blinking.
REQUIREMENTS
.NET Framework 4.5.2
Visual C++ 2015

@Eddlm i really like this mod,
It does not work on new versions.
v1.40_(1.0.1103.2)
Are you planning to update?
@Slash_Alex
@IUaena
@dsawdsaw
This mod works just fine with the newest version of GTA
@P1P3L1N3
Certainly "AutoBlinkersNET Steering Edition.dll" does not work.
Please check it correctly.
thanks
@dsawdsaw
Dude it works.
Only the warning signal wont start blinking when stopping near the road.
Left and right blinkers start flashing when going trough corners at slow speed just like it should.
@P1P3L1N3
sure, i know that functions of all already ^^
i used this mods longtime and works well util GTA5 v1.39 (1.0.1032.1)
but after GTA5 v1.40 (1.0.1103.2 GunRunning)
with latest ScriptHookV & ScriptHookVDotNet,
It does not work well.
I installed it again with your answer.
Of course, i followed all the recommendations,
but
Unfortunately, it does not work for me.
i don't know why. If it works well for you, you are lucky.
thanks ^^
@dsawdsaw
Weird, maybe you have a conflicting mod installed.
I mean its truly not perfect but most of the time it's doing what it's supposed to do.
And I found out that the warning blinker do work as well but not with modded cars.
works fine~ with 1.0.1180.2
^^b
@Eddlm The mod is a bit jank, but the overall basis works. Maybe if you could map the blinkers to a waypoint, that might work more efficiently. But I dunno, I'm no script writer. Anyway, good job.
Is it possible to use it on all cars not just the one the player is using adding a little more realism to the cars?
ah nevermind it seems other cars actually do signal when turning
Dont work for me:
ScriptHookVDotNet2.log :

Can I give a suggestion? It would be nice if the blinkers automatically turns on only when a GPS location is put. For example, do you remember Burnout Paradise? Just like it happens in that game :)
As of March 19, 2018 this mod works well with the latest .1290 GTA V patch, considering it was uploaded back in 2016. I only tested the "AutoBlinkersNET Steering Edition" version NOT the "camera" one because I'm not interested on the "camera" dll version....anyways...like I said, it worked well...however you do have to slow down a bit when making turns to see the blinkers working. If you're going too fast or at MAX speed they won't turn on if you're making a speedy turn. Also, you might not notice the blinkers at "noon" time or bright sunlight unless you're looking directly at the rear lights of whatever car you're driving, they're much more noticeable at night or at dawn/dusk time in game. The great thing about this mod is that not only does it work with regular gta v cars but, it seems like it works with "Add-on" vehicles as well because one of the tests I did first with this mod was driving around in an "Add-on" Lamborghini Countach which is not part of the original vehicles and the blinkers actually turned on nicely so it worked well for me. Five Stars!
Well... i'm not do a slow turn ;P
but still... earn 5 stars!
on gta ver 144, with new scripthook updates im getting this in my log about your mod: [18:07:21] [ERROR] Script 'AutoBlinkers' is not responding! Aborting ...
[18:07:21] [DEBUG] Aborted script 'AutoBlinkers'.
cool and all but in real life you don't turn on your blinkers after you have started turning, this mod is pretty pointless unless you make it work with waypoints or something like that
@Boatsil actually tons of dumb driver REALLY DO THAT
Works fine. Is there a way to switch hazards on/off manually?
Works fine still, thank you so much!
Any way we can change the speed of which they stop working in an ini? you have to be going extra slow for it to work ive noticed but works sound
nice
