This texture was done as a request for the user "Migel"
I may start doing requests from time to time now to give myself something to do in my free time.
Wooden shotgun and sawn-off will come soon arrive, however they will be uploaded separately due to the surprising things I discovered whilst making them. One of these things being that the stock has two tint files and in the +hi and normal ytd, their resolutions are different strangely. First one to be uploaded however will be the pump shotgun.
A high-quality laid out texture of a sheet of stain less steel en-casts the old metal texture of the gun, except for shaded areas which were "polygoned"
out of the base layer, and put above the steel layer. Then new grip was added and layers were flattened. From then out blend, and color flattens were used onto shaded areas to merge one another.
Instructions:
Make backup of your w_pi_pistol.ytd and w_pi_pistol+hi.ytd before starting.
1.Launch OpenIV
2.Navigate to: \update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\weapons.rpf 3.Once there, replace your w_pi_pistol.ytd and w_pi_pistol+hi.ytd with mine. Save.
5. Finish and launch.

First of course, thank you so much for doing my request! The gun looks really good, almost hitman-like. I'll definitively be using this for a while now! Really looking forward to the shotgun also, I'll use it for hunting, which makes me think, are you planning to do the bolt action?
Nice work again and a like, follow and download for you! :D
@Butt Head it doesn't look like metal more like white to me.
Looks great! and as you are talking about requests, I would love a 9mm pistol inspired in a wooden grip M1911
Like this one http://www.m1911.org/images/dana/ww2milspec/us.jpg
And I'm really looking forward for the wooden shotgun and sawn-off! Keep doing this great job!
@leonardoli I also agree, but I felt that a higher resolution texture was more important than a brushed metal texture that would look worse. Thank you for the feedback.
you know... I like this... good job.
@severedsoul Thank you.
50mm pistol .................LOL
@noname4498 HAHAHA, sorry about that, I'm so dumb. Thanks for hinting it!
@Gh0st why arnt they able to change gun models yet they did it for gta iv we had a verity of different gun models. So what is going on I'm ready to see all types of different guns
Love it, but would love it even more if you could do it on the Deagle also.
I'm honestly loving these wooden texture mods, nice work.
@honestjaye Just stop, you don't know what you're talking about. Be patient and calm down.
@HappyGuy There is a Deagle in the game? Could you tell me its ingame name? I've spent more time making these mods than actually playing the game ahaha.
when you start modding there is so many things to do we dont have time to play XD
Nice mode can i suggest somethings use PS open new file set the size you need !!!
use the same as the file you`re modding for the resolution small size smaller resolution and big size big resolution not over 500 so after you set that make sure you`re on RGB and the background set to TRANSPARENT put your (original png extracted from ytd )in new file created and play whit opacity you can add other texture dont forget to remove the unwanted texture on the gun like parts and you also can put some PS effect on the file but when you export the file compress it !!! i tink like this you will be able to do some shinny texture.., .,.. .,.. ,.,.
And if you follow the opacity of the Original File you will be able to change colors to ammonation
its the mosts beautifull things i ever see XD
Can anyone provide me the original files of the pistol texture please?
Yet another great mod, man! You've got my download for sure. :P
+10
@Migel @thamoc5 @leonardoli @HappyGuy @DevilUnicorn @mrmeatyworth @vova15ru I've given up on this whole modding scene, it was better back in Gta IV,but now not much is original and people just go off other's ideas. It's repetitive and boring. Most of those new models are also done quite poorly, the model exports and swaps aren't corrected and some have no animation. They don't even bother to place models into the feasible area of viewing for the player, so they aren't even in the hand and such. Is this because this feature is new? No, it's because they do not know how to properly do so, and wouldn't anyway because they're mostly stubborn. So I'll take my leave from here. Everyone who make these mods do it for the attention, so be gone with them. As much as I truly hate to boast my works, I had modded in Gta Iv phenomenally and the people who I worked with were sincere and brilliantly creative. I miss those people, and they did not come to this new medium and have all moved on. I decided to give this a try unlike them, but I now wish to not go on. Rest in loving peace the stability of the old modding community. The people who did not for the attention, but because of all the great times and fun.
@Butt Head Can you make the grip black like the pre-gen pistol?
