SOFIA stands for "Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy" and is based on a Boeing 747SP. The 747SP is a special and shorter version of the first generation 747. A huge telescope is mounted inside the fuselage and can be revealed by opening a huge hatch in the rear. This mod features the openable hatch as well, so you can see inside the aircraft.
Additionally, this aircraft is a whole new convert when compared to the other 747s. The windows light up at night, the main door can be opened and the cockpit is detailed with working gauges.
This mod is an Add-On(!)
This is just one of several 747 versions mod. I have planned to other versions, including a standard 747SP, a Laser weapon version or the modern 747-8i. Check the GTA5-Mods Forum link below!
Like I have said before, I'm really eager to release more aircraft (military/civillian), helicopters and military vehicles. If you like my work and want to see more, please show your support donating. It helps me affording the things I need to continue modding (ZM3, model files, etc)
