This mod implements (without replacements!) a custom engine/exhaust audio from another game(s), which can be loaded onto any vehicle by using "b58b30" in the vehicles.meta audioNameHash entry for a given car.
Contains AWC files with an NPC/outside version along with custom DAT151 and DAT54 files used for audio configuration.
This mod uses samples that are ported from Need for Speed: Heat, thanks to a newly developed granular porting method. Compare it to youtube videos of the original source!
Extra effort is also spent on non-engine-related parts of the audio, for an immersive experience.
AWC/REL code is open-source and unencrypted for those who want to edit it for personal use or to learn from it, however I do NOT tolerate reuploads without my explicit permission.

@TheRealM67v I've driven a couple of z's, mostly stock, don't really sound like this.
@CipherOG I drove two G37s, one modded, and it kinda sounds like that. Either way I don’t think this sounds like a B58
@TheRealM67v I and the NFS sound devs would likely disagree, as they definitely recorded a b58. Although I could only source a b58 exhaust so I had to make do with an n55 engine.

@Aquaphobic Ah, so you must’ve used sound files from NFS.
Having the sound recorded from the accurate car doesn’t necessarily make it sound accurate. Idk but to my ears, a N55/B58 has a way smoother tone; this one sounds more like a V6 to me than a BMW I6. And I think even the NFS one sounds inaccurate as well.
I mean for what it’s worth, the sound mod itself is far better than most I’ve seen and it’s way better than anything I could do.

@Aquaphobic why don't addon sounds rarely spit flames like vanilla cars? This one only does when you over-rev
@Yunky it's a conscious decision in the configs. I prefer more ounces of realism, and a car that spits flames every time it lets off the gas is either broken or tuned for show
Yo I didn't get a chance to comment until now, but great job on the mod. Definitely one of the best blends from cold start to idle i've ever heard in an engine mod. Great work!!
