@gtavjamal Im glad brother.
@ALEXSYS Thank you. I'm sorry the dlclist didn't work for you - im completely puzzled as to why!
@gtavjamal thanks. glad it helps
@JoyLucien Added an ini file which will also save your path. The path is to GTA5.exe location.
@JoyLucien If you watch the video, the one using the dot net framework i posted above in the comments, you'll see I'm all set - it does everything I need. Don't need, don't want LML or other novice tools.
Now for this tool, done as a PS script, it was created to be simple and most importantly Open Source. This allows it to be customized.
With respect to saving paths, I prefer to give the user the flexibility to select each time because many users have multiple GTAV s installed such as LCPP, 5real/LARevo, Sunshine Dream, and of course both Legacy and Enhanced etc. Personally, I try to minimize duplication by using symbolic links and other enablers, however I do now have multiple configurations given I have tons of storage space. I can switch from one to the other effortlessly and my dlc and my scripts are shared to avoid duplication and for version control.
Finally, this shouldn't be a pissing contest. Variety is good for the community and nobody is forced to use any tools or scripts or mods.. I will never use LML or similar tools. Thankfully I can create my own and prefer my own, but that's just me.
Powershell is an easy way to quickly deploy tools but obviously there are more powerful tools and programming languages. However that wasn't my objective.
@JoyLucien I don't know anything about LML but there is definitely a need for noobs. I prefer to write my own tools because they meet my requirements which might be very different from others. I have my own tool which I would love to share but it's based on my mod configuration which is highly personalized.
