Seems to work. I used to lose LOD with Forests SA, but so far increasing the variable to 16384 seems to have gotten rid of LOD issues.
@iammistahwolf When I was modding MP Clothes (converting some of the mods here for the main player characters to multiplayer freemode), R and U versions of the ydd would be incredibly buggy. took forever to figure out what you mentioned.
As far as the Menyoo crash when selecting MP outfits/applying them, I generally use the same method because I tend to stick to the same outfit. But this is the valid work around.
@Jeeves Yeah. It does get rid of the pop-in noticeably for me but that dang crash hurts. I'm going to do a clean install and compare.
@noxide420 Yeah, I'm running all others too. I want this to work but maybe there's an RPF archive that's corrupt. Typically lose textures in the desert when paired with Forest of SA (it's an old version too that I never bothered to update).
How can we fix the afterburner particle effect? It's not present.
@zombieguy I've always run the game with my current mods without issue (including heap adjuster and game config). 64GB RAM/4090 OC/13900. I'll record something later and show you before and after with this mod because it helps tons in the country (which is where I experience texture loss without it). I'm going to have to hunt down what mod is eating away resources in the countryside. When I do use this mod I don't get terrain and texture pop in but it does crash after a while so it's def not the mod since the game had already been delaying those resources.
@noxide420 This is what I had to do, monitor total vRAM usage via Afterburner. I got as high as 19GB. Unfortunately, the game crashes not long after with this tool regardless of vRAM usage. It throws Out of Game Memory eventually. Useful tool, but I'll have to wait to see what gets fixed in the next version.
@zombieguy I have to slow down here, it looks like I haven't been able to run this successfully with forests after 15 minutes of game time. It really does a lot with texture and caching.
As for shadows, I've been using QuantV to increase HQ Shadows and Distance but once you cross a certain point where the time cycle converts from Urban to Country, the engine resets the shadow settings.
Looks like I'll have to scale back VRAM usage, I do have ReShade running too. I had GPU Memory hit as high as 19GB before crashing.
Really great ASI. Would constantly lose road and terrain textures in the desert while running Forests of SA. I have the VRAM set to 16384, using a 4090.
