@mcdim All you need to do is create a new text file in your GTA V root directory. It needs to be named "commandline.txt", then input the contents into it.

@Junk1991 That is the way I have been adding cars, because I enjoy both the vanilla vehicles and the add-ons! As for a solution, I think may have found a way to stop the 20 minute crashing (at least for me), I needed to make a file in the root directory of GTA V called "commandline.txt" (without quotes), and within that file I put these options:

    -norestriction
    -nomemrestrict
    -avaliablevidmem 10.0
    -PedLodBias 0.5
    -scOfflineOnly

(you can adjust the "availablevidmem value to whatever your GPU video memory is, so if you have 2GB of VRAM, then put "2.0" instead of 10.0 that I put. Also if you have a 24 core CPU or higher, you cal also use the value "-disableHyperthreading" [without the quotes] as running on more threads than 16 is a bit of a waste of power, plus it can cause the game to behave abnormally sometimes. If you game cannot run, and/or will not run with the argument "-scOfflineOnly" that I added, you may remove that if you wish. I use this to keep myself form accidentally attempting to access GTA Online.)

@Junk1991 I too am having the same issue as you. I was told by the author of this mod, that the crashing isn't linked to the gameconfig (or may not be, to his knowledge anyways). I haven't been able to find a fix yet... sorry :(

disregard what I wrote before, I was a little confused... What I meant was, increasing the memory management(s) within the XML doesn't help the game to not crash further.

@F7YO Unfortunately this doesn't seem to make the crashing after 10-25 minutes go away. I can load into the game fine, with VanillaWorks Extended, and IVPack, and the game runs fine for about 10-25 minutes and then suddenly, the screen goes back and the game closes out.

Beforehand I was encountering some graphical glitches (half the city and roads wouldn't load, however I used a commandline.txt trick, and reset the cache, and all was well after that). Now I just wish I could figure out what causing the crashing.

@bassygreay I have followed the instructions with great precision, and it still crashes on the loading screen.
@Sztewe Following your method still produced crashing for me on the loading screen. I disabled and uninstalled all of my mods and even then, the crash exists. Reverting the game back vanilla 100% fixes the crashing. I increased the PackFileLimit Adjuster from 8000, to well over 14000 (in small increments), and adjusted the HeapAdjuster from 1500 to well over 10600 (again, in small increments) with no improvement. I am using the mods folder properly as well, and made sure my OpenIV is up to date, still no avail. This is all on version 1.0.1868.4. All of my ASI(s) load fine according to the log file, and so there must be some problem I am overlooking. Any solutions?

@psychosn4ke Unfortunately, it seems your methods do not appear to work within version 1868.4... Only commenting this so others will know ahead of time. :) Hope to see a solution for 1868.4 soon though.

This new script hook works great! My only question is now, it seems that Add-On cars aren't working properly, or more specifically, when the application if the modded gameconfig is applied. Does anyone have a way around that?

I got all my *.asi files to load according to the 'asiloader.log', however the game just freezes on a black/blank screen. Then after about 5 minutes, the error bogs comes up saying that GTA V Closed unexpectedly. (Trying to Use 'AddOnSpawner.asi', 'OpenIV.asi', 'opencameraV.asi', and 'ScriptHookVDotNet.asi') When I disable 'ScriptHookV.dll' that I got from @212antt, everything works fine. I copied my 'update.rpf' to the "Mods" directory in the game directory, but I really wish to not copy the entire "update directory" to there too, as that is over 33GB of more space used bu redundant files. Am I doing something wrong?

I seem to be encountering loading screen crashes, when I have this mod installed, plus Vanillaworks Extended, and GTAIV Pack. (gameconfig.xml has been modded, packfile limiter has been adjusted, and memory heap mod has been applied.) Any ideas?
