SkylineGTRFreak's MH-47G Liveries Various 1.0

114

Okay, so I fell down a rabbit hole and just started doing all the CH-47 Liveries I could find.

In addition to the original Agrentina liveries in the .ytd file, I've added .dds files for:

Australia,
Canada,
Egypt,
Greece,
India,
Iran,
Italy,
Japan,
Morocco,
Netherlands,
RAF,
Singapore,
South Korea,
Taiwan,
Thailand,
Turkey and
US Army (Olive Drab, not SkylineGTRFreak's original)

Because of the a size limitation, I couldn't put all the .dds files in the .ytd file.

If you want to use a non-Argentina livery, follow the instructions below, but after you rename the current mh47g_sign_1.dds, drag the .dds you'd like to ues into the .ytd file and rename that .dds to mh47g_sign_1.

For SkylineGTRFreak's MH-47G, also in the WarPackUSA pack.

SkylineGTRFreak's: https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/mh-47g-chinook
Here in WarPackUSA, https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/war-pack-special-edition-usa-add-on

Not sure if it will be this way for everybody, but I wasn't able to spawn SkylineGTRFreak's model because of the WarPackUSA. I ended up overwriting the MH-47G in the pack with the files from SkylineGTRFreak's to finally spawn my new paint. Also, it looks like this model doesn't support multiple liveries, at least in my install.

Once installed with their instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV

Follow this path to the file to overwrite:

...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/warpackusa/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/mh47g.ytd

If you wish to retain the original livery, while in OpenIV, extract the file mh47g.ytd. I typically extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to origmh47g.ytd.

When ready to overwrite with new liveries, toggle "Edit mode", top right button, and drag mh47g.ytd from the extracted zip file and drop here:

...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/warpackusa/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/mh47g.ytd

Unfortunately, I couldn't dynamically change liveries, so you can rename the mh47g_sign_1.dds in the ytd file to, for example mh47g_sign_6, then rename the livery you want to mh47g_sign_1.

Just to confirm the livery, I'd click on the mh47g.yft or mh47g_hi.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer to see what the model will look like with the new livery.

Once satisfied, close the model viewer and run GTAV and spawn mh47g with the trainer of your choice.

I've included at least one of my GIMP .xcf files in case you'd like to create your own with my paint as a starting point.

Enjoy,
Gillman
